In Brief In 2022, a 29-member nursing and public health team traveling from Los Angeles to Manila encountered a mid-flight emergency when a passenger was found unresponsive in a lavatory, prompting faculty to respond to the pilot's urgent call for medical assistance. This account tells of the team's efforts to help the passenger and their family, as well as the team's post-traumatic stress and their journey toward healing and deeper cultural and spiritual awareness.
