Water Electrolysis in the Higgs Lattice Model: Cluster Mechanics of Cleaving Molecular Bonds by Brute Force
Introduction: Electrolysis as a Mechanical Problem The current transition to a hydrogen economy is severely bottlenecked by the energy inefficiency of classical water () electrolysis. Standard electrochemistry describes this process abstractly supplying electrical energy overcomes the binding energy, facilitating electron transfer. However, the physical model of the Higgs lattice (based on 55-node Mackay Icosahedron clusters and the Mexican Hat potential) reveals that electrolysis is, in reality, a process of "brute spatial force," wherein proton gluons are mechanically torn from their geometric locks.
