Identification and field evaluation of sex pheromone components in the pine tip moth, <scp> <i>Dioryctria sylvestrella</i> </scp> (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae)
We report the first fully optimized, species-specific four-component sex pheromone for D. sylvestrella. The optimal formulation can be immediately deployed for region-wide monitoring, mass-trapping, and future mating-disruption programs against this cryptic forest pest. © 2026 Society of Chemical Industry.
