PEDAGOGICAL PRINCIPLES FOR THE COMBINED USE OF LITERARY GENRES IN LANGUAGE TEACHING
This study explores the methodological principles underlying the integration of various literary genres in language teaching. The paper examines the pedagogical value of combining prose, poetry, drama, and other literary forms to enhance learners’ linguistic competence, communicative skills, and cultural awareness. Special attention is given to the theoretical foundations of genre-based instruction, interdisciplinary approaches, and learner-centered methodologies. The research highlights how the strategic use of diverse literary genres contributes to the development of reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. Furthermore, it outlines practical strategies for implementing genre integration in classroom settings and discusses the didactic advantages of such an approach in improving motivation and engagement. The findings suggest that the combined use of literary genres fosters holistic language development and supports the formation of intercultural communicative competence.
