k-Foam Theory: Elastic Foam Model of Space and Unified Description of Physical Phenomena
[k-Foam Theory v13: An Approach to a Geometric "Theory of Everything" and Einstein's Unfinished Dream] ■ Preface: What Einstein Was Looking ForIn 1915, Einstein rewrote the universe in a language where "mass distorts the geometry of space itself." He was convinced that not only gravity, but also electromagnetic forces and elementary particles - all phenomena - could be unified as the geometry of space, dedicating the last 30 years of his life to a "Unified Field Theory." Isolated amidst the rise of quantum mechanics and its assertion that "God plays dice," his later years were called a "failure" by the physics community. However, there is a possibility that his intuition was right from the very beginning. The only missing piece might have simply been the physical substance of space: "what is distorting." This paper (k-Foam Theory) is a Working Paper that attempts to redefine the universe not as a continuum, but as a discrete elastic foam grid with a regular octahedron (k=6) as its basic unit. It is an attempt to derive the "unification of the four forces" that Einstein dreamed of from first principles, using only 5 axioms and pure geometry (integer ratios and the golden ratio). ■ Approach to a "Theory of Everything" via GeometryWithout using complex equations, extra dimensions, or unknown parameters, by debugging the hardware specifications (OS) of the universe, this paper shows the possibility that the following physical quantities can be mapped as geometric necessities:- Interpretation of the fine-structure constant (1/137) as a geometric slip rate- Possibility of deriving the Higgs mass (125 GeV) as a geometric yielding cost- Identification of the strong force (1.25 fm / 2.0 fm) as topological limit distances- Attempt to explain quantum entanglement (CHSH=2*sqrt(2)) as the angle doubling of an open loop- Algorithmic framing of hadron jet production as a spatial defense protocol ■ v13 Major Updates: Redefining the Greatest Illusion, "Time"1. Revision of Axiom 4 (Denial of Time)We hypothesize that an independent dimension of "time" does not exist in the universe. There is only an absolute "total amount of update cost." We assume that light always advances at an absolute constant speed of one cell per tick relative to the grid. We propose the possibility that the phenomenon observed as "time dilation" in relativity can be interpreted merely as a "processing delay," where the compression of the grid in a gravitational field drastically increases the "path length (number of ticks)" required to travel the same macroscopic distance. 2. Hybrid Redefinition of Dark EnergyThis is an attempt to decode the accelerated expansion of the universe not as the "runaway of an unknown energy," but as a superposition of the dynamic addition of space due to the presence of matter (reality) and the topological loss accompanying the long-distance propagation of light (illusion). "God does not play dice." Perhaps there are only pure geometric algorithms at play. This paper is an open working paper at the hypothesis stage, intended to walk the continuation of the path Einstein left behind 100 years ago. Quantitative verification remains a future task.
