Perth: Wonder Land

In this Journal we look at nature and cities. Mike O’Meally takes us on a wild and beautiful ride through the streets of Sydney in the company of skaters and ibises, while city bird expert Dr John Martin gives us a fresh perspective on Australia’s iconic bin chickens. We cross the continent to explore Daniel Jan Martin’s deep study of the Wonder Land of Perth. We meet blue-banded bees on a balcony. Continuing our celebrations of Wilderness Society in our 50th year, we talk with campaigner Victoria Jack, and hear about where we go next and why, and we revisit an audacious waterborne protest alongside the Sydney Opera House. As always, we thank our incredible contributors for their generosity and commitment. We hope you enjoy the ride.
