The developmental effects of transportation methods in achieving a balance in the urban environment in Anbar Governorate

…The analysis of urban systems in the form of elements (cities) within regions or individual elements (city) as urban systems is one of the modern trends in urban geography. It can be described as a direct expression of the essence of urban geography, and it is also an analysis of the spatial relationships between the elements of the system. The study aimed to measure the extent of the imbalance in the urban system network in Anbar Governorate in order to reveal the extent of the regularity of the distribution of the city population in the governorate and its dependencies, which would enable the diagnosis of regional problems that affect the functional role of service centers. Therefore, the research focused on the question of the extent of the imbalance in the size distribution of the population, And the amount of variation in the sizes of urban centers, which represented the research problem. The research was based on the hypothesis that the urban system in Anbar Governorate did not reach a state of complete equilibrium as a result of the influence of natural and human factors. The researcher used some existing methods that were identified from measuring the amount of imbalance in the spatial distribution of nodes, which the urban system often maintains. Abstract
