In fact, athletes face many psychological challenges. They experience strong performance pressure. They also deal with frequent injuries. Moreover, the uncertainty of retirement often brings serious risks, such as burnout or depression. Therefore, public policies should not separate mental health from economic security. However, existing programs such as RAMED, CNSS, and AMO remain limited. In reality, many Moroccan athletes, especially those in the informal sector, cannot access these benefits. Thus, there is an urgent need for more inclusive social security policies. These should provide healthcare, vocational training, and reintegration support, particularly for athletes at the end of their careers.
