Taking accountability and delegating tasks
Accountability and delegation are important concepts for support workers. To be able to work safely, they need to have the knowledge and skills required to perform their duties competently, work within their scope of practice and take ownership of their acts and behaviours. The author discusses five areas of accountability and ways to ensure effective delegation of tasks in the workplace.
