Infrapatellar Morel–Lavallée Lesion: A Case Report

Abstract Morel–Lavallée lesion (MLL) is a posttraumatic condition characterized by a hemolymphatic collection within the subcutaneous tissue. Although it was initially described in the trochanteric region, it has also been frequently reported in the lumbar area and other parts of the thigh. More recently, cases involving the knee region have been documented. We report an additional case of an MLL located just distal to the patella with a chronic evolution and underline the sonographic appearance.
