Libraries on Fire
Abstract Leah Hinds, Executive Director of the Charleston Hub, organised a panel in Berlin to discuss: “Defending Scholarship in a time of Political Pressure”. In her introductory remarks, she explained the purpose of the discussion: “We want to focus on what we can do, how we can move forward together.” A key theme was “The value of libraries, of research, of science, of scholarly publishing. Why we do what we do and why it’s worth defending”. The panel included four speakers from different parts of the library community.
