Grammatica e fisiologia in PSI VII 849: riedizione e commento

Abstract The two fragments labeled as PSI VII 849 (3rd century AD), from a papyrus codex, preserve texts relating to the fields of grammar and embryology. A new edition is presented here, based on autopsy, offering several new readings and restorations. Also studied are various aspects concerning the presumed provenance of the two fragments from mummy cartonnage, the presence of a scriptio inferior not identified in previous studies, and the possible provenance of the two fragments from a miscellaneous codex.
