Medical science mapping: results of intelligent big data analysis

Objective. To analyze medical research landscape using semantic analysis and mapping of medical topics based on Intelligent FOResight Analytic system. Material and methods. Vectorization of 2252 topics from English-language articles published in 2024 and related to medicine was carried out. Embeddings were obtained using Jina model (jina-embeddings-v3). Results. Scientific and technological agenda of world medical science was mapped. It covers 25 thematic clusters. We distinguished the clusters related to technologies for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases, clusters devoted to certain diseases, systems and complexes in organism, platform S&T areas in life sciences, organization and health policy, digitalization, pharmaceuticals and areas related to medicine. The article also presents the most significant topics in each cluster taking into account their mention in the literature for 2024. Conclusion. Understanding the global agenda in medical science and the most relevant technological trends is essential for innovative technologies. Analytical review can become an information basis for choosing priorities and focusing measures to support science and technology in medicine.
