192eP National survey on perceptions, attitudes, and current approaches to lung cancer palliative care management in China: An in-depth analysis
Methods: Data were reported from the Adelphi Real World NSCLC Disease Specific Programme, a cross-sectional survey of oncologists and pulmonologists treating patients (pts) with aNSCLC in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, the US, Canada, China, and South Korea from January-June 2025.The survey captured information on a variety of domains covering the physician's familiarity with regimens, anticipated prescribing patterns in the 1 st (1L), and factors influencing tx decision making. All analyses were descriptive. Results: Among 406 physicians surveyed, 98% had 5 years of experience.Physicians reported biomarker testing a mean of 88.7% (Standard Deviation (SD) 19.0) of their aNSCLC pts at diagnosis and the largest reason for not testing was lack of tissue (47%).Awareness of 1L EGFRm regimens was high with osi at 99%, osi + plat pem at 97% and ami + laz at 83%.Among those familiar with the regimens, physicians intend to use osi in a mean of 60% (SD 28.8, n=400) of 1L patients, followed by osi + plat pem in 26.8% (SD 23.6, n=394) and ami + laz in 13.9% (SD 17.5, n=337).The top 5 attributes guiding tx selection of an ideal 1L tx for EGFRm aNSCLC pts were overall survival (73%), progression free survival (60%), high response rates (37%), low incidence of serious/severe side effects (32%), and quality of life (31%).Conclusions: Physicians are familiar with emerging txs for EGFRm aNSCLC and prioritize factors related to effectiveness and, secondarily, factors related to tolerability, and quality of life when considering an ideal tx.At the time of analysis, physicians anticipated using osimertinib based regimens most often in the 1L, but emerging OS data for txs may influence future decisions.
