Enterprise Knowledge Digitization: The Role of Employee Digital Literacy
ABSTRACT The deep integration of the digital economy and organizational knowledge management has not only accelerated the digital transformation of corporate knowledge but also heightened organizational awareness of the importance of employee digital literacy in this process. This study investigates the relationships among employee digital literacy, knowledge sharing, organizational culture, and knowledge digitization through a survey of 310 recognized digital transformation exemplar enterprises in China, employing Mplus 8.3 for empirical testing. The results indicate that employee digital literacy exerts a positive influence on knowledge digitization. Knowledge sharing plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between employee digital literacy and knowledge digitization. Furthermore, organizational culture positively moderates the link between digital literacy and knowledge digitization, whereas it negatively moderates the relationship between digital literacy and knowledge sharing. These findings offer theoretical insights for organizations aiming to advance knowledge digitization, improve the efficiency of knowledge management, and foster innovation.
