Photo-thermo-acoustic interactions in a fiber-reinforced nonlocal semiconductor medium

Purpose This study aims to focus on investigating the photo-thermo-acoustic interactions within a fiber-reinforced nonlocal semiconductor material using dual-phase-lag (DPL) theory. Design/methodology/approach Basic equations are derived embedding photo-acoustic and thermoelastic principles within a transversely isotropic fiber-reinforced medium. The normal mode technique is used to derive numerical results, allowing for a detailed analysis of thermal load distributions influenced by nonlocality and fiber-reinforcement. Findings Numerical computations and graphical visualizations of the present results are carried out by using MATLAB software. The numerical simulations reveal the significant impacts of nonlocality, fiber-reinforcement and photo-generated carrier life time constant on various physical fields. In addition, all the thermoelastic responses follow generalized thermoelastic principles and time has an augmenting impact on all the considered physical variables. Comparative evaluations with existing models highlight the proposed system’s superior accuracy in depicting the photo-thermo-acoustic behavior of a nonlocal fiber-reinforced materials under dynamic thermal conditions. Originality/value A lot of research has been carried out in recent years on nonlocal thermoelastic medium, but not much attention has been given to study photo-thermo-acoustic interactions in a fiber-reinforced nonlocal semiconductor thermoelastic medium with photo-acoustic effects. These processes are crucial for promoting industrial innovation by improving material evaluation, device creation and health-care sector.
