Emergent Origin of the Hubble Tension

We derive the Hubble tension as a necessary and unavoidable consequence of a closed, globallyconstrained variational functional. The emergence of multiple effective Hubble scales is shown tofollow from the loss of global variational closure when restricting solutions to local observationaldomains. No additional fields, parameters, or dynamical extensions are introduced.

Abstract

We derive the Hubble tension as a necessary and unavoidable consequence of a closed, globallyconstrained variational functional. The emergence of multiple effective Hubble scales is shown tofollow from the loss of global variational closure when restricting solutions to local observationaldomains. No additional fields, parameters, or dynamical extensions are introduced.
