The Rexx TraceTool

Creating profiling data with the "tracetool.rex" utility will allow for getting an overview about the duration of routines and methods and the share on that duration by the routines and methods that these invoke. However, the profiling data could be analyzed in many different ways depending on the needs of the analyzing programmer. In order to allow analyzations by any kind there is the possibility to have the profile data imported into a SQL database together with some profiling related SQL views that can be taken advantage of. This presentation demonstrates how to create the SQL import data and how to take advantage of the created SQL tables and SQL views and how to further analyze the profile data using plain SQL queries.
