Direct Detection of Pulmonary Fibrosis by Near-Infrared-Responsive Biomimetic Platelets [Corrigendum]

Li G, He H, Zheng G, et al. Int J Nanomedicine. 2022;17:151—162. https://doi.org/10.2147/IJN.S334331 After publication, concerns have been raised by a third party regarding Figure 6B on page 160 of the published article. The representative ex vivo image for the MCT-2W + PVD group was inadvertently duplicated from the SHAM + PVD group during the image assembly process. This unintentional error arose due to the raw images being stored in the same folder and their high visual similarity. The correct Figure 6 is provided below. Figure 6 The sensitivity of PVD to detect PF with different levels of fibrosis. (A) Representative images of PVD fluorescence distribution in vivo of PF rats with 2-, 3- and 4-weeks of MCT-induction (n=3). The black dotted circle indicates the approximate location of the lungs. (B) Representative images of ex vivo fluorescence of major organs isolated from the same rats used in (A) as indicated. (C) Quantification of ex vivo fluorescence intensity of lung tissues isolated from the same rats used in (A) as indicated (n=3). ns, not significant, *Denotes p < 0.05 and **Denotes p < 0.01 by Kruskal–Wallis test followed by Dunn’s multiple comparisons with SHAM + PBS group. This correction does not alter the study’s original experimental data, findings, or conclusions and the authors sincerely apologize to the Journal and the readers for any inconvenience this error may have caused.
