Disease of esophagus

Esophageal disorders represent a significant global health burden which includes multiple medical conditions that range from motility disorders to inflammatory and neoplastic diseases. This review provides an extensive analysis of the pathophysiology and diagnostic methods and current treatment approaches which apply to essential esophageal disorders that include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and achalasia and corrosive esophageal injuries and esophageal adenocarcinoma. The discussion presents recent research findings about molecular pathogenesis which demonstrate that GATA transcription factors function as potential molecular switches which control Barrett's esophagus progression together with new treatment methods which development. The review presents research outcomes from recent clinical trials and meta-analyses which study peroral endoscopic myotomy methods and complete GERD treatment strategies and surgical results for corrosive injuries. The paper investigates present-day diagnostic problems which stem from modified barium swallow studies having poor ability to predict results while it studies new biomarkers which can identify cancer at its initial stages. The combination of advanced endoscopic procedures with targeted molecular therapies and personalized medicine techniques creates a new direction for treating esophageal diseases but resource-limited environments still face major obstacles.

Esophageal disorders represent a significant global health burden which includes multiple medical conditions that range from motility disorders to inflammatory and neoplastic diseases.
