Comprehensive study of LiMn0.7Fe0.3PO4: Structural, morphological, and electrical characterization

In this study, we present a comprehensive analysis of LiMn 0.7 Fe 0.3 PO 4 synthesized through a solid-state reaction method. The structural, morphological, and electrical properties of the material were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and impedance spectroscopy. Thermal analysis (thermogravimetric analysis-DGA and differential scanning calorimetry-differential thermal analysis) was conducted to determine the optimal calcination and sintering temperatures, confirming phase formation at 700°C. XRD results revealed a pure olivine phase with an orthorhombic Pnma space group and an average crystallite size of 36.6 nm. FTIR spectra identified characteristic phosphate vibrations, while SEM images showed uniform particle distribution with an average size of 60 nm. Impedance spectroscopy demonstrated that carbon coating significantly reduced impedance and enhanced capacitive behavior. The findings indicate that LiMn 0.7 Fe 0.3 PO 4 with carbon coating exhibits excellent electrical properties, making it a promising candidate for further investigation in energy storage systems, particularly from a structural and electrical characterization perspective.
