An Architecture for Systems That Work With Both Humans and Automation
This paper introduces a layered system architecture designed to support cooperation between humans and automated systems. The framework emphasizes human oversight, system isolation, and distributed operational units in order to improve reliability, transparency, and stability in complex automation environments. The architecture is based on the SILLY framework and is intended to serve as a foundational model for future research into human-centered automation systems.
