The FHNW Library presents its systematic approach to the needs-based development of information literacy services. A four-stage analysis project identifies the specific needs of students in academic work to optimize support channels. At the same time, publication consulting for researchers is being developed as a strategic field of action. The report discusses the requirements for comprehensive consulting (copyright, AI use, visibility) and the need to expand the skills of library staff to adequately support students and researchers.

Abstract

The FHNW Library presents its systematic approach to the needs-based development of information literacy services. A four-stage analysis project identifies the specific needs of students in academic work to optimize support channels. At the same time, publication consulting for researchers is being developed as a strategic field of action. The report discusses the requirements for comprehensive consulting (copyright, AI use, visibility) and the need to expand the skills of library staff to adequately support students and researchers.
