Transurethral urinary bladder eversion with vaginal prolapse of the urinary bladder in two entire female rabbits ( Oryctolagus cuniculus ) and review of the literature
Abstract Two entire female dwarf rabbits ( Oryctolagus cuniculus ), aged 5 months and 10 years, were presented with a mass protruding from the vaginal opening. Diagnostic imaging and exploratory laparotomy confirmed the diagnosis of transurethral urinary bladder eversion. Both animals were treated successfully by surgical intervention. The underlying cause of the urinary bladder eversion remained undetermined.
