ActionBot: A Task-Execution AI Agent for E-commerce

This paper is about making an e-commerce platformthat has a conversational assistant powered by artificial intelligence. This assistant can help with questions and actions on theplatform. Users can talk to the platform using language eitherby speaking or typing. This makes shopping on the platformreally easy to do. The platform uses a language model that runson Ollama to figure out what the user wants and what to do.When the platform knows what the user wants the assistant cando things like find products suggest things the user might like,track orders cancel orders and change delivery addresses. Theplatform can also hear what the user is saying and turn it into textand it can talk back to the user. This means the user can just talkto the platform using a microphone. The platform is different,from chatbots that just give answers. This platform can actuallydo things on the backend by talking to the platforms APIs anddatabase. By combining artificial intelligence with automatedactions the platform makes it easy for users to interact with it.This is a way to make e-commerce systems smarter and easier touse by adding locally hosted artificial intelligence models.
