Benefits of isovolemic hemodilution red cell exchange: Real or imagined?
Conversion to IHD-RCE appears safe and reduces per-procedure RBC utilization by approximately 1 unit. IHD-RCE did not demonstrate a clear iron-unloading benefit over STD-RCE.
