Meromorphic Functions that Partially Share Values with Their First Derivative
Abstract We consider uniqueness results for meromorphic functions $$f :\mathbb {C}\rightarrow \widehat{\mathbb {C}}$$ <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:mrow> <mml:mi>f</mml:mi> <mml:mo>:</mml:mo> <mml:mi>C</mml:mi> <mml:mo>→</mml:mo> <mml:mover> <mml:mi>C</mml:mi> <mml:mo>^</mml:mo> </mml:mover> </mml:mrow> </mml:math> such that for certain values $$a \in \mathbb {C}$$ <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:mrow> <mml:mi>a</mml:mi> <mml:mo>∈</mml:mo> <mml:mi>C</mml:mi> </mml:mrow> </mml:math> the implication $$f(z)=a \Rightarrow f'(z)=a$$ <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:mrow> <mml:mi>f</mml:mi> <mml:mrow> <mml:mo>(</mml:mo> <mml:mi>z</mml:mi> <mml:mo>)</mml:mo> </mml:mrow> <mml:mo>=</mml:mo> <mml:mi>a</mml:mi> <mml:mo>⇒</mml:mo> <mml:msup> <mml:mi>f</mml:mi> <mml:mo>′</mml:mo> </mml:msup> <mml:mrow> <mml:mo>(</mml:mo> <mml:mi>z</mml:mi> <mml:mo>)</mml:mo> </mml:mrow> <mml:mo>=</mml:mo> <mml:mi>a</mml:mi> </mml:mrow> </mml:math> holds, i.e. that f and $$f'$$ <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:msup> <mml:mi>f</mml:mi> <mml:mo>′</mml:mo> </mml:msup> </mml:math> share values partially . In particular, we give a result for four partially shared values.
