Lockheed Martin’s U-2 “Dragon Lady” and SR-71 “Blackbird”
The underlying goal for this thesis is to uncover truths concerning the conception, testing, and operation of Lockheed Martin’s U-2 and SR-71 that have previously been unacknowledged by the United States government or hidden from the general public. Many now are still unaware of the course of events that occurred during the mid to late twentieth century within the field of aviation intelligence. With this thesis, it is my goal to both educate myself and others on the full story of these incredible aircraft and how these previously hidden events affected the lives of many.
