Travelpool: A Smart Geospatial-Based Carpooling Platform Using the MERN Stack

This research paper presents Travelpool, a smart web-based carpooling platform developed using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js). The system utilizes geospatial queries for intelligent ride matching and integrates Socket.io for real-time ride updates between users. The platform aims to reduce transportation costs, traffic congestion, and environmental impact by enabling efficient ride-sharing among users traveling in similar directions. The proposed architecture demonstrates a scalable and efficient solution for modern urban mobility.
