Development of high-throughput qPCR to monitor the main bacterial genera of seafood microbiome

Seafood product is highly susceptible to bacterial spoilage and contamination by pathogens. Amplicons sequencing studies helped decipher microbiota main bacterial composition and dynamics. To monitor all bacteria, even at low concentration, we aimed to develop high-throughput qPCR targeting up to genus, species or strain resolution.

Abstract

Seafood product is highly susceptible to bacterial spoilage and contamination by pathogens. Amplicons sequencing studies helped decipher microbiota main bacterial composition and dynamics. To monitor all bacteria, even at low concentration, we aimed to develop high-throughput qPCR targeting up to genus, species or strain resolution.
