CALCULATION OF LOAD-BEARING STRUCTURES OF HAZARDOUS INDUSTRIAL FACILITY IN CASE OF INTERNAL EXPLOSION

When designing hazardous production facilities of agro-industrial complexes with a hazard class, great attention should be paid to production safety, providing for any negative consequences. Non-compliance with the rules can threaten with gray, and often incorrigible consequences. The materials of the article set out one of the stages of the survey of the sub-silo floor of the elevator building built in 1912, namely, the calculation of load-bearing structures for an internal explosion. Explosion inside the production premises of the elevator most often leads to severe consequences, since under the influence of the explosion pressure the structural structures are destroyed, the outlet cone is deformed or completely broken. When a dust-air mixture explodes, the shock wave is easily transferred to adjacent production premises, a staircase, ventilation pipes, air ducts, etc. That is why when designing buildings for explosive production, the key requirement is to ensure their integrity un-der design explosive effects. This means that the main supporting and enclosing structures should not be destroyed. Only temporary, local damages are allowed, which do not lead to irreversible loss of strength, stiffness or stability, and do not reduce the operational characteristics of the building. To protect buildings and structures from the destructive effects of an internal explosion, two key aspects must be taken into account when designing explosion-proof structures. Firstly, it is extremely important to reduce the excess pressure that inevitably arises during an explosion. Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen the structures so that they can withstand the loads created by the blast wave. On-ly a comprehensive approach, combining pressure reduction and strength enhancement, will allow the development of effective solutions to ensure the safety of the building in the event of an internal explosion. The results set out in the article may be of interest to specialists of expert organizations who are engaged in the examination of hazardous production facilities in order to assess the actual state of their structural elements.
