Yoga & Taekwondo Interventions and Multidimensional Health Parameters
Abstract The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of Yoga and Taekwondo interventions on multidimensional health parameters using a pre-test and post-test experimental design. Sixty participants aged 18–25 years were randomly selected and divided into two groups: a Yoga intervention group (n = 30) and a Taekwondo intervention group (n = 30). The intervention period lasted eight weeks. Multidimensional health parameters—namely physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health—were assessed before and after the intervention using standardized health assessment tools. Statistical analysis was performed using mean, standard deviation, and paired t-test at the 0.05 level of significance. The results of the pre-test and post-test statistical tables revealed a significant improvement in all health parameters for both groups. The Yoga group showed greater enhancement in mental, emotional, and spiritual health, while the Taekwondo group demonstrated superior gains in physical and social health. The findings indicate that both Yoga and Taekwondo are effective interventions for improving multidimensional health, and their combined or complementary application may offer a comprehensive approach to holistic well-being.
