Müfessirlerin ‘Allah Her Gün Bir İştedir’ Âyetiyle İlgili Yorumlarının Deizm Bağlamında Analizi
It seems that deism has sometimes come to the fore in our country recently. It is a matter of curiosity whether there is any explanation in the Quran regarding the subject. Some commentaries took this verse in the Surah Rahman “Everyone in the heavens and the earth asks Him. He is at work every day.” as an answer to deists. Deism puts forward the thesis that "God created the universe, but then did not intervene in it in any way"; It is known that Jews also believe that God rests on Saturday. It follows from these claims that Allah made many of his actions ineffective after creating the universe. For this reason, it is important to investigate what commentators say about the relevant verse and compare them with the arguments put forward by deism. In the research, it was seen that the commentators focused on the words شأن (she'n) and يوم (yevm) mentioned in the verse. For this reason, the uses of these two words in the poetry of Period of Ignorance and the Quran and the meanings given to the words by lexicographers were investigated. Then, the explanations and evidence of the commentators were discussed. The narrations related to the word "she'n", which means the work of Allah, from the companions and the tabiin were analyzed in terms of chain and text. It was analyzed that the reason for the revelation of the verse might have been associated with the Jews. It has been observed that the narrations were taken into consideration by the early period commentators, but the later period commentators interpreted the verse in a more general sense, without adhering to these explanations that limited the meaning of the verse. In these interpretations, Allah’s relationship with the universe is mentioned and His activity over time is revealed through the meanings given to the concepts of “yevm” and “she'n”. It has been seen that commentators have put forward evidence that Allah will not give up nor suspend His actions at any moment in time. As a result of the research, it was learned that the word she'n covers all the actions of Allah and that Allah performs many actions at the same time. It has been concluded that the word “yevm” means time, day and moment, that Allah rules every moment of time, continues to create and is in action on all days and moments in this world and the hereafter.
