Leaving Anonymity
This article analyzes the psychological and systemic mechanisms of self-censorship among survivors of institutional care ("Black Pedagogy"). It explores the "40-year threshold" of breaking silence and the transgenerational transmission of trauma-induced secrecy. A central focus lies on the transition from anonymity to named testimony as a radical act of re-identification and biographical sovereignty. By comparing named witnesses (e.g., Peter Siegfried Krug, Franz Josef Stangl) with the anonymous majority, the text highlights the documentary necessity of visibility to overcome institutional de-individuation
