Formation of Singularities of Solutions to the One‐Dimensional Elastic Medium Model

ABSTRACT In this paper, we mainly study the blow up phenomenon to classical solutions of the one‐dimensional elastic medium model. By constructing the periodic initial data under some suitable conditions, we show that solutions will blow up in finite time and derive the lifespan of the solution.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In this paper, we mainly study the blow up phenomenon to classical solutions of the one‐dimensional elastic medium model. By constructing the periodic initial data under some suitable conditions, we show that solutions will blow up in finite time and derive the lifespan of the solution.
