Predation on Northern Silky Anteater ( <scp> <i>Cyclopes dorsalis</i> </scp> ) by Tiger Rat Snake ( <scp> <i>Spilotes pullatus</i> </scp> ) in a Rainforest Fragment in Costa Rica
ABSTRACT We report the first predation event of a northern silky anteater by a tiger rat snake. This predation underscores how little is known about the nocturnal anteater and its predators. As the snake is commensal with humans, anthropogenic habitat alterations might have exposed the anteater to a novel predation pressure.
