DNA‐Encoded FRET‐Based Crypto‐Beads for Dynamic Information Encryption and Decryption

ABSTRACT DNA molecules exhibit remarkable specificity and sequence plasticity, making them an excellent medium for information encryption and storage. However, a significant challenge remains in simplifying sequence design and accelerating readout while maintaining encryption security. Here, we introduce a platform based on DNA self‐assembly on bead surfaces. Information encryption is accomplished by precisely controlling the distance between Q and F labeled on the DNA strands, and information decryption is carried out using flow cytometry. This platform supports both the writing and erasing of signals. Moreover, it allows for the customization of encryption methods according to the significance of the information, offering a high degree of flexibility. Furthermore, this platform can be applied to achieve encryption functionality in jigsaw puzzle games, expanding its scope of application. The DNA sequence design of this method is notably straightforward, and it enables the rapid decoding of information through a flow cytometer, significantly increasing encryption and decryption efficiency while ensuring information security. In summary, this approach provides a new avenue for developing next‐generation cryptographic systems with promising future applications.
