Robust Output Regulation for Aero‐Engine Control Systems With Input Saturation via Switched Affine Models
ABSTRACT In this work, a sliding mode robust output regulation control scheme is proposed for the constrained aero‐engine control systems with input saturation and disturbances. The aero‐engine control system is modeled as a switched affine model. A sliding mode controller, consisting of two components: linear and nonlinear, is proposed. The linear component is designed by utilizing the barrier Lyapunov functions, considering the state constraints and attractor ellipsoid methods. The nonlinear component is designed based on the proposed integral sliding mode control approach, which aims to compensate for the bounded disturbances. Additionally, a switching signal dependent on an affine term is designed to govern the switching between models. Moreover, a safety set is provided to ensure that system trajectories satisfy both state constraints and input saturation. The proposed sliding mode robust output regulation control method guarantees the asymptotic convergence of system outputs to zero under conditions of state constraints, input saturation, and external disturbances. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed control scheme is validated through the simulations, including a hardware‐in‐the‐loop experiment and a semi‐physical aero‐engine platform.
