A hybrid GA-MHW algorithm for solving nonlinear equations

Abstract This work introduces a hybrid method combining the search method Genetic Algorithm (GA) and the derivative-free iterative method MHW for solving nonlinear equations with high accuracy. The algorithm for the hybrid method to solve nonlinear equations with multiroots is provided. The algorithm is implemented using fitness and cost functions. Using eight test functions, hybrid Steffensen-genetic algorithm and hybrid GA-MHW (multiroot) are compared, and the results are analysed. The results shows that the proposed hybrid method yields the best results with high accuracy. AMS Subject Classification: 65H04, 65H05 Keywords: Genetic Algorithm, MHW
