A Unified IoT-Based Emergency Medical Identification and Real-Time Alert System Using QR Code and Cloud Integration

In emergency situations such as road accidents, sudden medical conditions, or loss of consciousness, victims are often unable to communicate critical medical information required for immediate treatment. Existing emergency response systems primarily focus either on accident detection or medical identification, functioning as independent solutions without integration. This separation leads to delayed response, incomplete medical data access, and reduced treatment efficiency. This paper proposes a unified IoT-based Emergency Medical Identification and Real-Time Alert System that integrates digital medical records, QR code-based instant access, and cloud-based emergency notifications into a single mobile platform. The system utilizes smartphone-based IoT capabilities, GPS tracking, and Firebase cloud services to securely store and transmits critical health information. In emergency scenarios, the system enables rapid medical data retrieval through QR scanning and automatically notifies registered contacts with real-time location details. The proposed model improves coordination between nearby individuals, emergency contacts, and healthcare providers, significantly reducing response time and enhancing decision-making accuracy. The system demonstrates a scalable and practical approach toward smart emergency healthcare solutions.
