Navigating the fog: My experience exploring brain fog in Long Covid
Brain fog has become a prominent but ambiguously defined cognitive phenomenon particularly among individuals living with Long Covid. This article explores individuals’ lived experience of brain fog and its psychological and emotional impact while also examining the role of an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-based group intervention in supporting validation, adjustment, and coping. My findings suggest that reframing brain fog as a manageable condition rather than a defining identity, combined with practical strategies and compassionate support, can foster resilience, autonomy, and improved quality of life while highlighting the importance of continued research, tailored interventions, and increased societal awareness to better support those affected.
