Suicidality and Drug Use Behavior Among Perinatal Individuals in Recovery

A history of SITB is a distinct risk factor for both illicit and recreational drug use behavior in the perinatal period, and frequently co-occurs with other perinatal mental health conditions. Further research is needed to better understand the directionality of this relationship and the complex interplay between high risk drug use behavior and suicidality.
