LA CONSTRUCCIÓN MEDIÁTICA DEL MÚSICO URBANO ADECUADO: EL CASO DE NICKLA 12
This article explores the media construction of a Chilean urban music exponent considered by the press to be a revelation.Guided by literature, it uses a textual analysis of the content about Nickla 12 published by both specialized and general media outlets. It also explores other intermedial elements of her debut album (2024): lyrics, music, vocal performance, music videos, and cover art.The results show that her work is perceived as distinct from the negative framing of trap and reggaeton -associated with crime, narcoculture, hypersexualization, consumerism, and dissipated lifestyles-which is considered appropriate by the press.
