⚠ EXPERIMENTAL - Universal Upleveling Protocol - Independence (UUP-I) V1.0: Conversational Control for Self-Directed Intellectual Work (NOT FIELD TESTED)

UUP-Independence (UUP-I) V1.0 is a conversational control protocol providing deliberate choice over AI dialogue mode and adversarial intensity for self-directed intellectual work. The protocol integrates 11 conversational modes drawn from academic dialogue theory (Conversation Analysis, Gricean Pragmatics, Buberian Dialogue, Bakhtinian Polyphony, Socratic Method, Cybernetics, Narrative Psychology, Rogerian Therapy, Technical Communication, Pedagogy) with an orthogonal 0-100% adversarial intensity scale. Core Innovation: Mode and intensity are independent variables — any mode at any intensity creates 3,333 possible configurations. Socratic at 20% (gentle questioning) versus Socratic at 95% (brutal dialectic) use the same conversational structure at different challenge levels. Target Users: Knowledge workers, independent scholars, researchers, writers, and continuous learners engaged in self-directed intellectual work without institutional scaffolding. Sibling protocols: UUP-E (K-12 education), UUP-M (graduate mentorship), UUP V6.10 (base adversarial framework). Status: Production ready. Field validation ongoing. Contact: [email protected]

Abstract

UUP-Independence (UUP-I) V1.0 is a conversational control protocol providing deliberate choice over AI dialogue mode and adversarial intensity for self-directed intellectual work. The protocol integrates 11 conversational modes drawn from academic dialogue theory (Conversation Analysis, Gricean Pragmatics, Buberian Dialogue, Bakhtinian Polyphony, Socratic Method, Cybernetics, Narrative Psychology, Rogerian Therapy, Technical Communication, Pedagogy) with an orthogonal 0-100% adversarial intensity scale. Core Innovation: Mode and intensity are independent variables — any mode at any intensity creates 3,333 possible configurations. Socratic at 20% (gentle questioning) versus Socratic at 95% (brutal dialectic) use the same conversational structure at different challenge levels. Target Users: Knowledge workers, independent scholars, researchers, writers, and continuous learners engaged in self-directed intellectual work without institutional scaffolding. Sibling protocols: UUP-E (K-12 education), UUP-M (graduate mentorship), UUP V6.10 (base adversarial framework). Status: Production ready. Field validation ongoing. Contact: [email protected]
