Analysis and reference of domestic and foreign experience in the development of marine information service industry under the new situation

Information, like energy and raw materials, is regarded as a basic and strategic resource for national economic and social development, and has become an important part of modern society. With the continuous advancement of the national maritime power strategy, the maritime information service industry has developed to a certain extent; however, there remains a significant gap between China and international maritime powers, such as the United States, Europe, Japan, and South Korea. The development of the marine information service industry is of great significance to accelerating the digital development of the marine field, and has a significant role in promoting the development of marine power, ensuring the stability of the national supply chain, and driving the industry. This article analyzes the relevant management mechanisms, scientific and technological support, industrial policies, laws and regulations of the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea and other countries in promoting the development of the information service industry and the marine information service industry, based on this analysis, we propose relevant suggestions for the development of China’s MISI, aiming to boost marine digitalization, maritime power building, and national supply chain stability.
