On the Strain Bacillus amyloliquefaciens for Protecting Plants from Phytopathogenic Fungi

A search for strains of spore-forming bacteria as producers of biological fungicides for the protection of fruit and berry crops, including grapes, from fungal diseases has been carried out. As a result of screening, strain 1611 has been selected. The strain has been identified as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens based on analysis of the variable regions of 16S rRNA. The cultural, morphological, physiological, and biochemical characteristics of the strain are studied, and the dynamics of the synthesis of the fungicidal factor and its localization during submerged cultivation in a liquid medium are determined. It is established that the fungicidal factor is thermostable and resistant to proteolytic enzymes. It is shown that the strain has pronounced fungicidal activity against the main pathogens of phytopathogenic fungal diseases of the genus Fusarium. The culture broth of strain 1611 does not exhibit phytotoxicity.

It is shown that the strain has pronounced fungicidal activity against the main pathogens of phytopathogenic fungal diseases of the genus Fusarium. The culture broth of strain 1611 does not exhibit phytotoxicity.
