Possible (Meta-)Zeunerite from Labská Dam, Špindlerův Mlýn, Czech Republic

A green, non-fluorescent, autunite-group “uranium mica” was found near the Labská Dam, Špindlerův Mlýn, Hradec Králové Region, Czech Republic. Preliminary semi-quantitative XRF data suggest that a copper-uranyl arsenate, likely (meta-)zeunerite, may be present, consistent with the earlier Czech literature (Sejkora and Škácha, 2016). This document is intended as a brief locality note with supplementary data, and has not undergone peer-review.

Abstract

A green, non-fluorescent, autunite-group “uranium mica” was found near the Labská Dam, Špindlerův Mlýn, Hradec Králové Region, Czech Republic. Preliminary semi-quantitative XRF data suggest that a copper-uranyl arsenate, likely (meta-)zeunerite, may be present, consistent with the earlier Czech literature (Sejkora and Škácha, 2016). This document is intended as a brief locality note with supplementary data, and has not undergone peer-review.
