The technical, economic, and advocacy intermediation functions of farmers’ organisations in Burkina Faso
Although many studies have highlighted the role of farmers' organisations as intermediaries in agricultural development following the implementation of World Bank reforms, a detailed characterisation of their evolving functions at a country scale is still scarce. This study aims to characterise the landscape and the innovation intermediation functions of farmers' organisations in Burkina Faso. The results reveal how the evolving institutional context has shaped the current landscape of farmers' organisations, and this is reflected in their shift from passive brokers to active intermediaries.
