Optimizing vegetation belts for traffic noise attenuation by terrestrial laser scanning analysis

The ACUVEG project develops methods for optimal establishment and management of roadside vegetation belts to mitigate traffic noise. Given the negative impacts of noise pollution on public health and changing growth conditions from climate change, there is an urgent need for sustainable, long-term solutions appropriate for Central Europe's temperate climate.

Abstract

The ACUVEG project develops methods for optimal establishment and management of roadside vegetation belts to mitigate traffic noise. Given the negative impacts of noise pollution on public health and changing growth conditions from climate change, there is an urgent need for sustainable, long-term solutions appropriate for Central Europe's temperate climate.
