3 RD INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM
The scour formed around marine structures plays a critical role both structurally and environmentally. This study was conducted to examine the scour formed around multiple piles placed in a wave flume. The aim of this study is to determine experimentally the parameters affecting the scour around thestructure depending on different wave lengths, wave periods, and incident wave approach angles. In thisexperiment, the effects of different wave approach angles on scour were also examined by aligning thepiles at 0, 30, 60, and 90 degrees. Based on the obtained data, the effects of scour mechanisms on theenvironment and structure have been examined. In this context, sand pool experiments were conductedon a rigid channel base.
